If all goes well, your cover letter and resume with the right invitation for an interview. Most interviews are alike. What is most important is a job interview, and the company is that you know each other better and that during your interview a good impression. In addition, your entire story consistent. Be careful in your application! This is often surreptitiously tested during your application. But how hard they make you during your conversation, stay yourself. Do not be fooled and always keep your goal in mind. Also, if you do not like them during the interview, then chances are that you are not with them (the organization) fits.3.1 Interview Questions
During an interview you can assume you can expect some questions. So you'll usually see your good and bad directions and explain. Furthermore, they will go through your resume here and ask questions about. During a job they usually ask how you as a person reacts to certain situations. A common method here is the STAR method. Sometimes they ask during a job interview here explicitly. STAR stands for Situation, Tasks, Activities and Results.
Example:How do you deal with someone in your team at the free-riding is?Situation - What was the situation?
During my study I have to make assignments in groups. Here was someone who gave considerably less input than the rest of the group.Tasks - What was your role in this situation?
My job was in the group play the role of chairman. Here I had to chair meetings, new ideas and people to lead.Action - What actions have you taken?
The free-rider aside and held accountable for his behavior. In addition, we have gone through planning and hard deadlines. These deadlines, we have observed.Result - What is the result achieved?
By the free-rider to speak about his behavior and to establish deadlines, he was aware of the situation and he has adapted to the rest of the group. The free-ride problem was solved.
The STAR method, you already take for yourself before you interview. Take your CV and ask yourself the questions at different points of the STAR method. Chances are that the STAR method will come in handy during your application. Even if the recruiter did not explicitly use the STAR method vraagt.Voorbereiden the STAR method is therefore highly recommended. Also read about the STARR procedure. It is also wise to apply to several interview questions for yourself on paper. Most of the questions asked during the interview can make their own mind. And you will be better prepared for, your answers during your interview and you get more consistent on your answers to match the requirements of an organization. See also the interview questions in preparation.4 Application Training
On the web several training sessions about applying. Be aware of taking the target of this training. In addition, a free training that you do not have too much to expect. When you apply will be very difficult, it can not hurt for a job training course. During the job interview training, they can still tell how you came across during a job interview. Furthermore, application training during frequent use of video recordings. When you see yourself back on film, you sometimes discover things about yourself that you had never seen before. Again, if you have difficulty applying for jobs, then an application training will not hurt! You can tell the cost of a job training watch, but when you get a job by then of course it can be financially easy.

How to Fit An Active Lifestyle into a Busy Schedule

You've been wanting to get in shape but you don't feel like you have any time. Your job keeps you busy and once you're home, you don't have the time or energy to work out or exercise. What can you do? Here are a few tips to get in some exercise where you never thought possible.

Commuter?
If you commute, you have a perfect opportunity to exercise. If you can, get off the bus a few stops before you usually do. The walk will likely do you some good. You'll be able to clear your mind, relax, and unwind before you get home.

Going Up?
If you work in a high-rise and it's safe, try taking the stairs. Don't do any more than you feel capable of, especially if you are just starting off. Work your way up slowly. You can take the elevator half-way or two-thirds of the way, then walk to the rest. You'll be amazed at the exercise you are getting. And stairs are a great way to get into shape.

Walk When You Can:
By parking further away, you can get in a walk where you never thought you could as well as saving yourself a lot of frustration and anxiety that is associated with trying to find the best spot. And this doesn't have to be just at work. Try it when you go grocery shopping and at the mall. You'll be amazed at how your anxiety decreases when you aren't fighting for a parking spot right next to the door.
When you're running quick errands, try walking. Sometimes, it's not really quicker to take the car when you factor in traffic and parking.

Motivate:
Support is one of the best ways to help ensure you'll be able to continue exercising. Why not start a lunchtime walking club at work? Gather a few people from your office who have similar goals and plan a walking circuit. Invest a bit of money into getting a pedometer. You'll be amazed at how little time it takes to rake up actual kilometers. Set some goals for yourself and for the group and celebrate when you achieve them.

Learn How to Manage Your Time:
Often we think we don't have time to exercise, when really, we aren't managing our time properly. If you are self-employed, work from home, or have a flexible work schedule, make sure you spend your time efficiently. Checking email, re-reading reports, and unnecessary meetings are all great examples of time wasters. Set yourself a goal, how much work you'd like to accomplish, and once you've reached it, give yourself a break and reward yourself with your favourite form of exercise.
Fitting exercise in a busy lifestyle just takes a little creativity and thought. Sneaking exercise in your daily routine is easier than you think. You can walk around your neighbourhood, the office, or when running an errand.

Over 50 and Looking for Work?

By Sara Parent

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

Older adults looking for work can often face challenges unique to their position.
According to Barry Witkin, CEO of Prime50 Employment Services, "Employers still think that they are dealing with a 50+ person that existed 50 years ago and not realizing that the 50+ person of today is younger looking, healthier, has longevity, and wants to continue their careers."
If you are over 50 and looking for work, here are some things you should keep in mind.

Showcase Your Technology Skills:
Don't give an employer a reason to buy into the myth that older workers aren't technology savvy. Focus on the tech skills you have. Showcase your abilities to use and learn new programs by drawing on your past experiences and your ability to learn new processes. If your skills aren't where they should be, update your computer skills and learn how to use the common technology tools of today. Computers and new technologies are part of the workplace, and whether you are young or old, you should be able to use them effectively.

Focus on Your Experience and Loyalty:
According to Witkin, older workers have a vast amount of experience and knowledge and could be great mentors to the younger employee. He adds they are loyal and will not leave a job as the younger generation is doing today after two years or so.
Stress your experience and your ability to hit the floor running. If you've worked for a company for a large number of years, focus on the positive changes you made, the skills you learned, and your loyalty.
Show employers that hiring you makes sense. Witkin says that older workers know how to deal with change and stress and won`t panic in crucial situations because they have all of these life/work experiences from the past to rely on.
Draw upon your life experiences to show potential employers how you've managed situations in the past, and how you can use those skills in the future to benefit the workplace.

Get Out There:
You have a world of experience that just can't be had in a classroom. Get out there and make use of your experiences. If you're motivated to continue your career, make sure you stress that to a potential employer. Show them that you are willing to learn new things and help others around you with your experience. With the aging population, demographics and the future are in your favor. According to Witkin, the future holds great things for the worker who is 50+. He foresees that employers "will recognize that all the perceptions they had about the 50+ workforce are all wrong. They will embrace them by recruiting them and retaining them and create policies to allow them to work under quite different conditions and terms than they would have not considered before."
Being an older adult looking for work can have its advantages. Make sure you showcase your work experience, loyalty, abilities, and your desire to work. You've got a lot to offer potential employers so make sure they know it.

Ready for a Career Change?

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

If you are considering a career change, here are several suggestions you can keep in mind to help you achieve your new career goals.

Research:
Doing some research before you make a career change can save you a lot of time and energy. By knowing what skills you'll need, what the salary range is, and other information, you'll be better able to make an informed decision about the industry and what it takes to work in it. Try contacting an association that deals with the specific career you'd like to transition to. They will be able to provide you with plenty of information about what that career choice really involves. It's easy to glamorize a dream career but with some research, you can make a decision that will be based on facts. Other ways to discover more about a career include volunteering and finding a mentor in your new career choice. The insight you will learn can go a long way to helping you determine if this new career is right for you.

Education:
Once you've done some research into your new career, you'll be able to determine what sort of education you'll need. Can you apply the skills you have already, or will your new career require specific education? Where is the best training available? Can you get it in your local area or will you need to relocate?

Flexibility:
Are you willing to look at all aspects of your new career? What if it takes you longer to achieve your career goals than you first thought? By being flexible, you'll increase your chances for success in your career transition. Don't be solely set in a very specific career path because often, as we explore career options, we discover opportunities we never considered. Being flexible means seeing opportunities and adapting them to suit our needs. It also means considering the lifestyle changes that will be brought on by your career change.

Passion:
Changing careers should be about passion. What is the sense in changing careers if you aren't going to like it more than your current career? Changing careers isn't about making more money, pursing someone else's goals, or dreaming about job satisfaction. It's about passion and curiosity to see what else is out there that might bring you happiness and fulfillment.
By researching your career choice, you'll be prepared and you'll be able to determine if this new career really is your passion. By thinking ahead, you can help make the transition to a new career more easily. Remain flexible and open-minded, and remember to consider the education and lifestyle changes you'll likely need to make.

How To Handle a Phone Interview

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

Phone interviews are a common technique used determine which candidates will move forward in the interview process. They can also replace an actual in-person interview and so they are critical in determining whether or not you will be hired. Here are some important tips for phone interviews.

Be Available:
Be there when you say you will be. Recruiters and employers are often very busy calling other candidates and you don't want to give them the impression that you don't value their time. If you make an appointment to receive their call, be prepared to give them your full attention.
Have a quiet space where you won't be interrupted by kids, pets, or household chores your spouse or housemates might be doing, like running the dishwasher or vacuuming. Also ensure that there isn't any loud music or other distractions. Let others know that you are setting this time aside for an interview so that they won't be barging in.

Be Prepared:
Re-read your resume and know all your skills and strengths, just as you would for a regular interview. Just because you can have all your information in front of you and the interviewer can't see you looking at your resume, you still need to be prepared so that you'll sound polished and confident.

Be Professional:
Just as you would a regular interview, ensure you appear professional. Practice talking on the phone with a friend, simulating a phone interview. Keep an eye on your speech patterns and don't talk excessively or mumble. Be attentive to the interviewer. Because the interviewer can't see you, they can't see your body language or how you act when you respond to questions. All your feedback is coming to them through the phone, so it's critical that your phone skills be excellent.
Also, ensure that you aren't chewing gum, that you sit straight, you smile, and that you dress the part. No one will see how you are dressed but it will change your attitude. By thinking and acting like this is an interview (and it is!), you will come across as more confident and prepared.

Follow-up:
Just as you would a traditional interview, follow-up with the interviewer to let them know that you appreciate the time they took in interviewing you. Let them know again of your interest in the job and that you look forward to hearing from them regarding the position.
Remember, a phone interview is just like a regular interview. It can determine whether you get hired on the spot or get selected for a future interview. It's important to treat it just like any other interview you would participate in, so ensure that you are prepared, confident, and attentive to the interviewer.

Creative Selling Strategies 2010

By Ken Rogner

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

Winning With Creative Sales Techniques
I recently had the opportunity of helping to judge a group of creative sales technique entries for a large distribution company. It reminded me that creativity is now and always has been the way to win the sales game in challenging times and situations. Sometimes you utilize contemporary technology but most of the time sheer creativity is what sets you apart from the competition!
Here are some examples of entries that won the competition. These entries show what has changed and what has stayed the same in creative strategies for selling.
1. Finding and very successfully selling an off-season product to existing "summer-only" business customers. The difference here was in how the customers were identified and contacted. Historically this would have been by phone or in person but in this case the new contacts and customers came via e-blasts and Facebook. The backup and strengthening feature of the new product promotion however, was still a billboard ad campaign. How can you use technology to attract new customers or promote your creative ideas to existing customers?
2. Recognizing that a competitor's customer was about to lose his existing supplier due to bankruptcy, this salesperson had a new showroom display model of his product delivered...to himself but at the customer's address. When the retailer called to inform him of the miss-shipped package he apologized for the error and promised to stop by and pick it up. When he asked if they would enjoy seeing the about-to-be-released product version and received a "yes" it was the strong "buy signal" that he had been waiting for. He got the business for the year. This example of creativity would have been a winner in the past just as it was in 2010. What unexpected or remarkable things can you do to open the door or attract your potential customer's attention?
3. Taking advantage of his bi-lingual abilities this salesperson appealed to his small service contractors (with counter card displays in Spanish) and asked for leads to other similar businesses in the Hispanic community. He offered additional support and/or leads and spiffs in exchange for new contractors signed up. That first program was so successful that he added a second level to the program for referrals to other contractors in different businesses. That was also a success. What strengths and/or unique talents can you utilize to take business away from your competition?
4. Finding a high profile name or event to tie your promotion to is (and always has been) a creative way to have promotions recognized and get response. During the World Cup soccer finals in South Africa this European rep named his July promotion after the country's coach and team and alluded to their earlier-than-necessary demise. Because the event had everyone (including all of his customers) talking his promotion gained a bit of notoriety and was a huge success. He doubled his business from the previous year's promotion. What are people thinking and talking about could help you set a timetable for your promotions?
5. Creating unique reports to continually remind customers (and field sales people) of an on-going promotion. This sales manager created unique and customized computer reports, simple but effective, that could continually be e-mailed to his field sales people and their customers. The reports indicated progress made and unit sales still required to attain previously agreed to sales growth incentives. The promotion was the most successful ever with his sales center achieving more than double any other center's gains. How can you use customized computer reports to remind customers of how they can achieve success in a promotion?
6. Doing night-time, updated sales techniques training and offering customized presentation booklets for a retailer's entire floor sales staff (as well as offering Saturday deliveries) was how this distributor sales person took 100% of the business away from his competition. The economy had stalled sales and a new round of sales training plus customized presentations rejuvenated this customer's consumer-business. What unique training can you offer that will help a customer regain sales in a depressed economy?
7. Being creative about how products are assembled, packaged and delivered can sometimes increase volumes because of shared savings. This sales person worked with a customer and created a check with order process that, coupled with a 12 model cookie-cutter program, was able to reduce costs for the distributor and the retailer. When these savings were passed on to the consumer business increased dramatically. How can you find creative ways to save costs and pass the savings on?
No matter how much technology changes our daily lives and sales presentations, creatively solving a problem for a customer is still the winning combination. How can you help a customer regain lost sales? Find the answer and win the game!

Tips for Successful Direct Mail Marketing

By Ron Morton

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

Considering Direct Mail Marketing? Good idea.
Direct Mail has been around forever and is still considered the most personal style of advertisement because no other medium can give you the ability to touch and feel it like mail does. There are many things to think about before you jump into a bulk mailing campaign; who your customers are, how you're going to reach them, and how many potential customers can use your product are just a few.
Do lots of research on direct mail, it never hurts to know more than you should. Keeping mail pieces that you have received is good too because it lets you get ideas from businesses that are in the bulk mail game already, and knowing what your competitors are doing can be an advantage.
Determining your mail route strategy is a very important factor. What neighborhoods will produce the most potential customers? Income, location, and household count should be three big decision makers when figuring out your mail distribution. Creating a database from current customers is a good strategy too, and sending direct mail to these current customers with coupons and upcoming sale items keeps these customers coming back for more. But know that there are potential customers out there awaiting your mail piece, you just have to know how to find them.
Creating your mail piece can become the tricky part. You need to have something that will catch the customer's eye, whether it is a great photo on the front or "SALE" in big letters, that always gets me to look. But the designing of your mail piece is part of a whole other department.

Selling Your Company To An International Entrepreneur

By Terry J Filkins

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

If you'd like to become successful with an international business and then consider selling your organization on the international stage, then there are several things you must think about.
Managing an enterprise and offering it to suitable clients is a very complicated activity. Putting up for sale your company on the global stage is a lot more complicated compared to selling in your own state or country. Selecting the most appropriate small business agent, lawyer or attorney together with an accountant together which all have a history of successful overseas business sales is also important. Look for a team that has a good deal of knowledge because during the extended sales process, you will come across many difficulties en route.
Develop a certain in-depth marketing document where you can include your background and characteristics of the business, several year financial overview, business missions, small business supervision also staff, very competitive examination, business enterprise and also industry targets, and business technique and projections. This could be employed to distribute your company, so it is important that it is created effectively to show a proficient look to potential business enterprise potential customers.
At all times check any probable purchasers by using your adviser wherever they come from. This is to make certain that only the genuine company buyers that are eligible and may afford to acquire your small business can get to talk to you. This could further decrease the probabilities that opponents will find out that you're selling your enterprise. Discretion is important in enterprise selling.
It is important that when advertising your enterprise for a foreign entrepreneur, interaction needs to be carried out in writing. Due to the fact writing is able to cut miscommunication and will give time to investigate and clarify issues. In the event you take care of issues on the phone or in person, promoting your enterprise could become extremely frustrating.
Another thing you should contemplate is the fact you must not discuss with out your dealer. You may not know how to take care of a foreign client even if you might be a professional at promoting a small business inside your place. Despite all the troubles and conditions that may be experienced, you must be able to get a wonderful value for your enterprise with a good company agent.
Furthermore, you shouldn't settle without having your broker. Though you may be an expert at marketing a company in your country, you may not understand how to manage a foreign customer. With a capable company dealer, you should be able to have a fantastic cost for your small business despite all the hassles and conditions can be displayed. A properly produced advertising strategy will make the sales method incredibly easier.

Team Building Activities - Increase Employee Motivation

By Meadows Leland

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

In the corporate world, the most pressing problem is employee attrition. People are switching their jobs very rapidly. From a company's point of view, this is rather detrimental to progress. This is because over a period of time, you tend to invest a lot in terms of training and tacit knowledge in an employee. Thus, when he leaves your company, you lose a valuable resource. Also the problem arrives when you need to hire new employees to replace the older ones. They will have to be hired, selected, trained and then assigned to various responsibilities. All these things have a cost attached to them. This is the reason why companies these days are trying very hard to increase the motivation levels among employees, and to inculcate in them a sense of loyalty and belongingness towards the company.
Corporate events for team building
Corporate events are all about this these days. If your company is planning to organise some, you must ensure that they are conducted extremely smoothly, without any glitches. This is the reason why you must consider hiring the services of a good event management company. These companies are professionals in organising various corporate team building events. These events give your employees a break from the hard work they have to do routinely. They also teach employees the value of working as a team, and inculcate in them a sense of loyalty and trust for the company.
Team building activities
Team building exercises organised by these companies aim at inculcating among the teams a sense of commitment and understanding. These exercises help members of a team break the ice between them, and understand each other better. They also help employees understand the value of working as a team, and what can happen if people give their individual egos and needs more importance. This is accomplished with some amazingly creative team building challenges, like obstacle courses which teams have to accomplish together. Only when they work together and synergise, they will be able to win. It is a lot of fun, and your employees will enjoy every minute while they learn a lot.
Fun team building games and parties
Team building games, which mainly aim towards ice breaking and try to teach employees the importance of effective communication, are very well loved by all kinds of employees. Your employees will be asked to play simple games and perform group activities which will require them to work together. Some examples for this include developing a collage. A corporate team building exercise like this is extremely effective, because of its innovative and non-pressurising, non-boring style.
The most loved are themed parties. Simple themes may be given to employees, which are hilarious and fun. These parties help employees become more comfortable with their superiors, and enjoy some light moments. These activity days will be extremely well loved by your employees, and they will look forward to it each year. With such innovative team building ideas, you can improve the productivity of your employees very greatly.

Top Paying Data Entry Work To Choose From

By Diane Cruz

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

To find work from home is a desire many have, however, it's not as easy for a lot of people as it would seem. Because of so many scams spread throughout the internet, this has made it extremely difficult for one to find genuine work. It has become much like finding a needle in a hay stack. Most people must go through many trial and error and lose some out of pocket cash in order to find anything that actually works. Even some programs that aren't necessarily scams maybe simply entail too much work for too little pay. It's especially difficult for newcomers that are not familiar with the various programs available and what they have to offer. It's always good to do research but most people just don't know where or how to start.
A good way to do this is to simply figure out what it is you like to do and what you're good at. Then begin your search from there. Mos people don't do this, they simply type in the search term "work from home" and assume this will narrow it down. A good place to start is online data entry as these jobs are fairly easy to do and most non traditional home typing jobs don't require any experience to start. I'm not talking about professional document typing, I'm referring to programs such as article marketing or ad submission jobs. These jobs are much easier to obtain and one does not need to have extensive experience with fast typing and grammatical skills. These are also among the highest paying jobs there are online.
Ad submission jobs simply entail placing ads for web businesses in order to help promote their products and services they offer. Because marketing is an extremely lucrative business, these offer the most income for less grueling work then some other programs online. These jobs are especially great and beneficial for stay at home moms, dads and students. Basically anyone who needs to work from their home. With this type of work it is not uncommon for one to earn $200-$500 a day with time and effort. These are not your typical get rich schemes, these are real jobs that do require work to be successful. Just about anyone can do this from anywhere around the globe who needs to makes extra money. It can easily be done to supplement ones income, or can be done long term as a career. Most programs that offer these jobs provide one on one training with step by step training manuals and directions. They usually come with a one time admission fee, however, they're much worth it for what you get in return.
Ad posting jobs are the cream of the crop when it comes to choosing something to do from home, however, one still has to be careful when choosing the right company. There are many fake so called training programs out there that are run by criminal hoping to collect admission fees from unsuspecting victims. Always do your research on a company before embarking on any business endeavor and you can have yourself a very lucrative career in data entry.

Top Ten Strategies For Becoming Uncommonly Successful

By Stacey Mayo

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

Here are 10 of 26 proven strategies gleaned from interviews with highly successful people who have overcome obstacles to accomplish such feats at climbing Mt. Everest, winning a Grammy, becoming a multi-millionaire, becoming an established author and humorist, a professional pitcher in the Major Leagues, an internet entrepreneur who earns millions and more. Regardless of your career or industry, when applied, these success principles can shorten your learning curve and be a catalyst for your success.
These principles were excerpted from the book, "I Can't Believe I Get Paid To Do This!" Remarkable People Reveal 26 Proven Strategies For Making Your Dreams a Reality by Stacey Mayo
1. Create Wealth in Alignment With Your Passions
It is important to focus on what you are passionate about first and then find a way to make money at it. Get in touch with your heart first, otherwise, the left side of your brain will rule out perfectly good ideas without having explored them.
"Money allows us the freedom to pursue the things that are important to us. Money is not an end it itself."
Stacy Allison, first American woman to successfully climb Mt. Everest
2. Honor Numero Uno: Design Your Life Around Your Priorities
Many people try to fit their dreams into their life and complain there are not enough hours in the day to make it happen. If you want your dream to become a reality, make it a priority. Otherwise, it will never be more than a pipedream.
3. Visualize Every Step of Your Dream and Watch the Magic Unfold
The muscle movement that helps us physically take action in our lives begins in the mind. That is why all great golfers, tennis players, basketball players, etc. visualize themselves making a shot beforehand. An experiment conducted by Alan Richardson, an Australian psychologist, found 23% performance improvement among subjects who visualized every day for 20 days. In his paper published in Research Quarterly, Richardson wrote that the most effective visualization occurs when the visualizer feels and sees what he is doing.
"I really visualized it, too, even as a child watching those programs. I could visualize myself walking up the stage, up the stairs. For me, visualizing those dreams happening was pertinent to making that happen, because I could see it. I pictured it in my head"
Mary Youngblood, welfare mom turned Grammy Award Winner
4. Easy Does It: Inspired Action Always Trumps Forced Action
Inspired action is joyful action that is in alignment with your dream. It is action you want to take and the idea of it brings a smile to your face. When you take inspired action, you are aligned with what you are doing and things flow naturally.
Contrast this to action that you are forcing yourself to take regardless of whether you feel like doing it. Maybe you are in a bad mood or have a headache but decide you have to take this action and keep trudging forward. The likelihood is that if you take action from this place it will take you twice as long to accomplish your task or goal or there will be obstacles that come up along the way. It's like swimming against strong currents.
5. Laser in On One Idea, Business or Income Stream at a Time
One of the mistakes people make is diversifying too quickly. This is true whether you are trying to build multiple streams of income or are just working on several different ideas at one time. The key is getting the first stream or idea up and running, producing good revenue, and having systems in place so it will keep running without you before going on to the next unrelated stream.
"Several things going on at one time is a distraction to cash."
Loral Langemeier, single mom, financial literacy coach and millionaire
6. Strengthen Your Relationships: Your Financial Independence is Dependent on Your Connections With Others
Many people think of the day when they will be financially independent as "freedom day." And, while financial independence is a worthwhile goal, it does not mean that you are free of your dependence on other people. As a matter of fact, in order to create financial independence, you just might need a lot more people in your life than you have right now.
7. Develop Your Resilience Muscle: Bounce Back From Setbacks
The truth is that you will have setbacks along the way. This is just inevitable. The sooner you accept that, the better. Many of these setbacks will take the form of circumstances that come up and block your way. If you look closely, you may find these setbacks are directly correlated with your innermost thoughts, fears, and limiting beliefs. This is because we create what we focus on including those things we don't want.
Don't get stopped by these bumps in the road; learn from them. As you work through the setbacks that come up, you will become the person you need to be to live out your dreams.
8. Streamline Your Efforts; Align Your Natural Talents With Your Goal
Success comes easier and more quickly when you enhance your strengths and delegate in areas where you are weak. Your natural talents are those things you do so easily and naturally that you think they are no big deal. Many of my clients were overlooking their natural talents when they first came to me. They thought if it is this easy for them, it must be this easy for everyone. This is rarely the case.
The key is to take your natural talents and abilities and strengthen them through education and experience. You are not born an expert at anything. It is something you develop.
9. Disarm That Sneaky Inner Saboteur
Even when we know what we need to do, we often don't do it out of fear of experiencing the emotions and other things that may come up as a result. Fear of failure and fear of success are the two biggest internal fears that people often face. Most other fears such as fear of rejection fall underneath one of these major categories. As human beings, we will go to great lengths to avoid our fears. That is why so many ideas never get beyond being a great idea, or projects are started and never finished. It is easy to find reasons, excuses, other diversions or projects, create chaos, and sometimes to even create emergencies to avoid these negative feelings or outcomes.
One of the most important things you can do is allow it to be okay to have these feelings. Then step back and notice what it is you do to get in your own way. When you have identified what you do, you can make a conscious decision to do it differently.
10. Shorten Your Learning Curve by Learning From The Best
You can learn from the people who are barely getting by, from those who are doing fairly well or from those at the top of the heap. Talk to people who are already successful and find out how they did it. That's what the book, "I Can't Believe I Get Paid To Do This!" is about. Its purpose is to provide success principles and philosophies from those who have excelled. They've already been down the road and you can learn from their experience. Why reinvent the wheel when someone else already did a great job of creating it?

Successful Job and Career Searches

By Anifa Williams

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

Searching for a new job or career doesn't have to be painful or agonizing. Your success will depend a lot upon your approach. Are you familiar with current hiring trends? Do you know exactly what position you are targeting? Are you just desperately in need of a job, any job? How do you presently find positions? Are you equipped with a good cover letter and resume? Do you have good references? Are you able to explain any inconsistencies in your resume? How flexible are you with salary and benefits? How far can you travel geographically? These are only a few questions to ask yourself before starting your job search. You will need to understand that finding a job could easily turn into a full time job and it's important for you to have a system in place that works for you.
The main three sources to find a new job are online jobsites, networking through friends, family members, present and former colleagues and checking the yellow pages. I realize most people don't check the yellow pages for jobs unless they are looking for a temp agency or permanent placement career firm. There is more to the yellow pages online and offline than jobseekers realize.
Online Jobsites are the most common places to find jobs right now. They are available in several categories. You can search jobsites based on your location, industry, ethnicity and salary requirements. You can also limit your search to full time, part time, per diem, freelance, telecommuting and shift preferences. Most of these sites offer candidates the opportunity to post their resumes online to be viewed by potential employers with vacancies to fill.
Depending on your qualifications and what you are looking for, you can easily narrow your list of sites to monitor to three. It is best to have at least one local site that you can count on for positions close to home. The national job boards will attract more attention and more competition. With the current state of economy, many jobseekers will relocate for the right position. If you monitor a site that is only known in your area you will limit the chances of high competition compared to a national advertising.
Networking might not be the most common way to find a job, but it is one of the best ways. When a position becomes available the first people to know about it are the employees. Many times before a job is even posted it will be filled. I accepted a position this way many years ago. A co-worker was leaving the company we worked for and before she left, she placed a post it note in front of me and winked.
The process required very little effort on my part. I updated my resume, contacted her friend who was the president of the company, interviewed for the position and in a matter of days accepted an offer. My co-worker had already given me a stellar recommendation so my new boss didn't even check the references I provided. In a matter of weeks I started my new position with a great company, better benefits and a wonderful group of people. It was a good move in more than one way. Within months my former company had a massive layoff.
As I mentioned above the yellow pages aren't usually the first place anyone looks for a job. However, if you are creative, patient and targeting a specific industry, the yellow pages can be your best friend. I worked for a brokerage firm several years ago. An announcement was made that the department I worked in was on track to be closed. Like most of the other employees, I quickly started looking around for another position. After moving to another department was eliminated as an option, I then looked in certification so I could work in another capacity in the same industry.
After acquiring my certification I took two days off to spend time with the yellow pages. I knew my industry so I knew what companies to target in my job search. I also created a geographic range. When I was finished with my criteria, I got on the phone and called every company in the yellow pages that fit the description. I politely asked whoever answered the phone if their company was hiring for the position I wanted, requested email addresses, fax numbers and contact names. Before returning to work after two days, I had been on four interviews and accepted a new position.

Job Vacancy Indonesia, Employee, Vacancy

If you are interested in a career in finance there are many different options available to you. Fields within the finance industry where you can find job vacancies include corporate finance, insurance, accounting, financial planning and real estate. Finance is one of the most lucrative industries to work in and there are many opportunities for dynamic and dedicated people. Here is a sample of the some of the main roles available within the field of finance.
Jobs in Corporate Finance
Corporate finance involves working for companies and helping them to create strategies for growth, protection of cash flow and selection of investment opportunities. Within corporate finance there are many job vacancies available for financial officers. A financial officer helps to increase profit margins for the company, designs financial policies, manages cash flow and works with investors and shareholders.
Jobs in Insurance
Insurance is a massive industry in the United Kingdom and throughout the world. The demand for insurance professionals is enormous and there are many different job vacancies available within this category. Roles include administrative support, sales, management and information technology.
Jobs in Real Estate
Job vacancies within the field of real estate focus on roles in areas such as construction, brokering, property development, insurance and leasing. Real estate finance roles are very similar to corporate finance roles, however, there is a higher degree of specialisation involved in this area.
Jobs in Financial Planning
With the current global instability in the financial markets, many businesses and individuals face tough challenges. Financial planning job vacancies are increasing because of an increased demand for financial advice and support. It is necessary to operate within a strict code of ethics, have a good credit rating and be licensed with the relevant authorities that govern financial planners. Most financial planners have accounting degrees, work as accountants and then move into offering specialised financial advice.

Despite one of the worst global financial meltdowns in the last 70 years, the oil and gas industry seems to have emerged out of the recession relatively untouched. Rather than cut jobs and rein in on expenditure and exploration, the industry has adopted a policy of 'wait and see' by freezing wages and basically keeping the industry on tick over. The policy seems to have paid off - as the world finally starts to see light at the end of the economic tunnel, the oil and gas industry is poised to take full advantage of the upturn in demand for supplies as industry presses the 'on' button.
A wealth of opportunities
For oil and gas jobs, this presents a wealth of new opportunities. The world's dependency on oil and gas products is growing, not receding. Although alternative fuels are very much on the agenda for everyone, the exploration of the planet's natural resources continues unabated. This means new methods of extraction, deep drilling and oil sands, which in turn equates to a plethora of new opportunities for those looking for a career move into a boom industry.
On the face of it there are plenty of pros in making the move into an oil job or gas job. The most obvious one for anyone looking for a long-term career is the pay. Oil and gas jobs have a reputation for paying well, even at entry-level positions. Hard work is well rewarded, with basic drilling jobs paying up to US$50,000 a year. The more experience a candidate has, the greater the rewards and graduates going into oil and gas can expect to be paid much more than in other graduate positions in alternative industries.
Career advancement is also high on the list, with hard work again being rewarded by rapid promotion. Candidates who show initiative, good team working skills and determination can quickly rise up through the ranks to more responsible positions. Roustabouts, the most common entry-level position, can become drillers in a matter of a few years, making oil and gas jobs ideal for those who want a career but may not have the formal qualifications to go into more academically demanding jobs.
For those who want to see a bit of the world, a job in these industry presents the ideal opportunity to travel abroad, as the industry is an international one. From the offshore platforms of the North Sea to new fields opening up in Australia, there is a wealth of chances to travel and be part of a global industry, as well as earning a good salary.
Still a dangerous occupation
So what are the cons to jobs in oil or gas? Recent events in the Gulf of Mexico have emphasised that, although one of the most high-tech of industries, oil exploration is still a dangerous occupation. Safety is a primary concern within the oil and gas industry, but if you are thinking about going into the sector then you must be aware that, like most heavy industry, it does carry its own particular risks.
Rig work in particular is hard, gruelling and very dirty work. For those who like to wear a collar and tie to work, careers in oil and gas are still available, but perhaps within a different context such as research and development, personnel and what are termed as 'upstream' jobs. The nature of the work means that you may spend long periods away from home, so for candidates with families, the separation can be hard to deal with initially. However, rig teams build close ties and many consider their rig colleagues to be a 'second family', forming bonds that can last a lifetime.
If you're prepared to work hard, use your initiative and don't mind getting your hands a little dirty, jobs in oil or gas can offer a chance to develop a career, rather than just another nine to five job.
